Webinar
FCA regulation for funeral plan intermediaries - an introduction
On-demand
In July 2022, we’re taking responsibility for regulating the pre-paid funeral plans sector.
It’s important that you start considering whether you need to become FCA regulated and, if you do, how you can prepare. If you decide to apply, you should start planning to make an application as soon as possible.
This webinar will help you to understand what FCA regulation means for you and how to get ready.
It is for funeral plan intermediaries: firms that advise customers on funeral plan contracts or arrange them for customers – this includes funeral directors and will writers. We are hosting a separate webinar for funeral plan providers*.
We explain the rules we are proposing in our Consultation Paper, and set out the application process, including what you need to do and when.
* Firms that enter into funeral plan contracts with consumers and/or which carry out funeral plan contracts that have previously been agreed.
